Detailed description of Legends Golf Club -Oyster Bay

Legends Golf Club, Oyster Bay Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Legends Golf Club, The Oyster Bay Course opened for play in 1983. The course was designed by Dan F. Maples.

Legends Golf and Resort offers five of the best golf courses available in the Myrtle Beach area and the state of South Carolina. They are The Heathland Course, The Moorland Course, The Parkland Course, The Legend's Oyster Bay Course, and The Heritage Course.

Centrally located just off Highway 501 in Myrtle Beach,Heathland, Moorland and Parkland courses are nestled within the Scottish-inspired Legends Golf & Resort.

Legends' Oyster Bay course is on the northern end of Myrtle Beach's Grand Strand in Sunset Beach, N.C., while Heritage is on the southern end in Pawleys Island, S.C.

Legends Golf Club, The Oyster Bay Course features severe marsh-oriented holes, two island green par threes, strategic (and stunningly beautiful) fresh water lakes, long holes, short holes...the consummate combination of shot making requirements. There are two, island green par 3's that are as beautiful as they are challenging as well as a few lengthy par 4's that provide interesting difficulty as well. Cavernous bunkers, wickedly undulating greens and the lengthy par 4's make Oyster Bay a challenge. The Oyster Bay course plays to a par-70 and 6,695 yards from the tips. The course rating is 72.1 with a slope rating of 136.

One of our favorites and staying at the Legends makes is a great deal. We always play here twice while in Myrtle.

Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing

We were the first group off the first tee in the morning. We were forced to wait 50 minutes at the turn because the staff continued to shove foursomes out on the back 9. They were rude. Lunch service was horrific.

Would travel: 0-10 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: Better courses for less nearby, Worse than average course for the area
